Tim Bevan
Tim Bevan was appointed as the Chairman of the UK Film Council on 30 July 2009, taking over from Stewart Till CBE. He is Co-Founder and Co-Chairman of Working Title Films.
Tim Bevan, CBE is Co-Founder and Co-Chairman of Working Title Films which he formed in 1984, joining forces with Eric Fellner as Co-Chairman in 1992.
Working Title has made more than 90 films that have grossed over $4.5 billion worldwide. Its films have won six Academy Awards, 26 BAFTA Awards and prestigious prizes at the Cannes and Berlin Film Festivals.
Working Title has ongoing and successful creative relationships with many filmmakers particularly with Richard Curtis with whom they have collaborated on all of his films, Paul Greengrass, Stephen Daldry, Joe Wright, Edgar Wright and Joel and Ethan Coen with whom the company has made seven films. Credits include Four Weddings and a Funeral, Bridget Jones, Elizabeth, Atonement, Shaun of the Dead, United 93 and Burn After Reading.
Working Title began as an Independent, then had a term deal with Polygram (1992-1998) and currently has an ongoing financing and distribution arrangement with Universal Pictures and Canal Plus.
