Cultural and Learning: UK Film Council response
April 2008: The UK Film Council made a submission in response to the DEMOS consultation paper Culture and Learning: Towards a New Agenda. The UK Film Council agreed that shared standards of excellence, networks and brokerage and leadership are key areas of focus. However, the UK Film Council expressed disappointment that the definition of culture excluded film and moving image.
Film: 21st Century Literacy
This strategy grows out of the work of a wide-ranging Strategy Action Group, brought together under the auspices of the UK Film Council and consisting of representatives from the BFI, Film Education, Film Club, First Light Movies, Skillset and the national and regional screen agencies.
