Cultural Impact Seminars
Beyond the box office
Presentations of the Stories we tell ourselves study took place in each of the nations and were used as a platform to demonstrate that film is central to people's everyday lives and plays an important role in our national culture.
Other key themes to emerge during these discussions were:
- Increasing access to and encouraging debate on film heritage is central to a vibrant film culture;
- The digital age is providing audiences with new ways to access and interact with film.
Professor Ian Christie (Birkbeck) and Bertrand Moullier (NARVAL) led each of the seminars joined by local commentators.
